National Newspaper Core is an online database of searchable national and local newspapers. Located on the library’s databases page, National Newspaper Core provides access to full-text articles from the following five newspapers through one search interface:

  • Baltimore Sun
  • Christian Science Monitor
  • New York Times
  • Wall Street Journal
  • Washington Post

For each publication, the database includes content dating from the 1980s or 1990s to the present. Also, the newspapers can be searched individually or collectively; and like other databases, National Newspaper Core enables searching for articles by author, title, and subject.
