Sunday, April 14, 2013Washington Adventist University’s (WAU) annual Family Fun Festival is a community celebration during WAU’s alumni weekend. This popular event draws crowds from around the greater Washington, D.C. area. More than 4,000 people attend the event hosted on our historic campus in Takoma Park, Maryland. The festival provides an opportunity for the community to experience the wealth of resources available in education and health at Washington Adventist University and Adventist HealthCare. All activities will be geared toward fun and learning for all ages.
This year the festival will focus on “Community Safety, Education and Wellness.” WAU and its health partner, Adventist HealthCare, will promote activities focused on building safer, healthier, educated communities. In addition to presentations on health and wellness, attendees will be exposed to safety programs for seniors, CPR and first aide, free blood pressure screenings, child abuse prevention and school safety.
Come join the fun. A showcase of music artists sponsored by WGTS 91.9; delicious foods from area restaurants and caterers, a farmers market, and an abundance of activities for big kids and small kids.
