Terry, who is an adjunct faculty member at WAU, began her career at JNAS as the computer teacher and IT specialist. When financial challenges forced the school to discontinue that position, Terry became the fifth grade teacher but continued teaching computer skills and assisting her peers with their use of technology. In addition, she played an instrumental role in purchasing and installing video projectors and screens in several classrooms.
Terry also coaches the girls’ basketball team, assists the music teacher with the hand bell choir, and drives the bus for school trips. She also arranges music performances for the local churches to promote the school and she manages the JNAS Facebook page.
“I choose to work in a system in which I wholeheartedly believe and to which I want to give back,” Terry said. “I would not choose to work anywhere else!”
