Biography:

He is the Associate Dean in the Betty Howard Center for Student Success where his duties include serving as Coordinator of the General Studies program, Director of Cooperative Education and Career Services, and Director of the Disabilities program, and Co-director of the Alpha Chi and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies. Work experience outside the USA includes elementary and high school teaching, and teacher trainer and field supervisor. In addition, before joining the WAU team full-time, he worked as an Adjunct Professor of History at WAU, and as Lecturer in History at Howard University where he was also a Research Associate in the Institute for Urban Affairs and Research. Additional work experience includes Program Manager and Archivist at the Smithsonian Institution and Records and Information Manager and Trainer at the World Bank, the position he held just before joining WAU as an Assistant Registrar in 1997.

Current Research/Professional Activities:

Professional interests include the transition from high school to college, career advising, student retention, and developmental education especially instructional approaches to meet the interests and needs of underprepared college students.
