Biography:

Prior to working at WAU, Ms. Currier served as chair of the History Department at Atlantic Union College from 2002-2008, and Dean of Humanities at Quinsigamond Community College from 2008-2011. Originally hired as Registrar at WAU, Ms. Currier accepted the appointment of Interim Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies in January 2014.

Research and Professional Activities:

Ms. Currier’s research interests include popular culture (particularly film), American imperialism, transnationalism, and critical tourism. Her M.A. final project was entitled, “Imperialist Images: Hollywood Depictions of Native Hawaiians, 1927-1959.”
