Biography:

Born in Maine, Professor Grant has focused on a life centered around travel and teaching. He has taught at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels and has worked in the US, the UK, and Indonesia. Along with his regular teaching workload at WAU, Professor Grant directs the first-year composition program, organizes the annual Writers’ Conference, and teaches courses for the WAU Honors Program.

Current Research or Professional Activities:

Professor Grant is interested in language learning and acquisition and is an approved trainer and assessor for Cambridge University’s Certificate for English Language Teaching to Adults. He evaluates teacher training programs throughout North and South America and also works with the Accreditation Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, evaluating ESL programs in the US.
