Alvin Tucker has over thirty years experience as a critical care respiratory care practitioner and educator at several hospitals in the USA and abroad. He currently is the Director of Clinical Education in the Respiratory Care Program at Washington Adventist University. His specialties include mechanical ventilation, neonatal and pediatrics and pulmonary function testing. He teaches Respiratory Care courses in the Respiratory Care program and coordinates the Annual Mechanical Ventilation Conference co-sponsored by Washington Adventist Hospital.
Research and Professional Activities:
His areas of interest include classification of modes of mechanical ventilation, asthma education and complimentary and alternative medicine in the treatment of COPD. Mr. Tucker has served on the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of Maryland.
