Biography

Simply referred to as “Coach”, is a jack of all trades and has been there and done that. He graduated from Loma Linda University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Health/Physical Education. Later he attended San Diego State University where he received a teaching Certification in Adapted Physical Education. He went back to Loma Linda University and completed a Master’s of Science degree in Health/Physical Education.
Christian education has been a lifelong commitment for Coach Peifer. He has enjoyed sharing his knowledge of sports, Physical Education and athletics at several schools, colleges, and universities around the nation. Peifer has worn many hats, including but not limited to: teacher, associate professor, coach, athletic director, fundraiser and University administrator at the following educational institutions: Lynwood Academy, Loma Linda University, La Sierra University, Oakwood University, and Washington Adventist University. His background also includes seven years as the Vice President for Advancement and Institutional Relations at Oakwood University, and three years as the Vice President for Advancement, Alumni Relations and Athletics here at Washington Adventist University. Currently, he is the Chair of the Health Wellness and Physical Education department.

Research and Professional Activities:

Coach has over 30 years of experience in college athletics and University administration. He has coached a wide range of sports including: basketball, baseball, volleyball, track, cross country, and softball. He has administered athletics in the NCCAA, NAIA Division I, and the NCAA Division II. One of his favorite sayings is “The only thing constant in life is change…Be Ready!”
