Biography:

In addition to his leadership of the university’s Honors Program, he is the current faculty sponsor of the WAU circle of Omicron Delta Kappa.

Research and Professional Activities:

Professor Haas has published work on modernist poets and artists including Basil Bunting, Louis Zukofsky, George Oppen, Morris Cox, David Jones, and Ronald Johnson. His ongoing doctoral research focuses on literary mythmaking in the modern ear. Other research interests include modernist bibliography; 20th century long poems; private presses; little magazines; 20th century art; pre-Tolkien fantasy literature; and the interplay between the material manifestations of literary texts and “reality.”
