Biography:

A native of Jamaica, Ms. Donaldson has taught nursing and chaired the Department of Nursing at her alma mater, West Indies College (now Northern Caribbean University) in Mandeville, Jamaica. Prior to Washington Adventist University, she also taught in nursing programs in California and in Maryland. Ms. Donaldson has served in various roles, in nursing education, administration, and practice. She teaches Professional Nursing Foundations, the first course in the new curriculum for the traditional option of the baccalaureate degree nursing program.

Current Professional Activities:

Ms. Donaldson is currently a doctoral student in the doctor of education program at Walden University, Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is an approved Medication Administration Trainer with the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Child Care. Based on her experience teaching item writing in her role as Senior Editor of Measurement Services with the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Nurses Association, she offers private consultation in that area. She is participating with the editors of Lippincott Williams & Wilkins in the review of a Fundamentals of Nursing book and is preparing to publish her first book on Christian parenting.
