About the WAU Alumni Ambassador Program

As a prospective student, I reached out to the only CUC/WAU alumnus I knew to hear about his experience. The first thing he said to me was:

“Don’t go there,” he said.

Although he had a great experience when he attended in the 50’s, he felt there was “nothing good” happening at WAU now. Thankfully, he did not sway my decision. When I got here I was amazed all the good things I found. I am happy to say, there are still great things happening at WAU. This last year, for example, almost 100 students served as missionaries in several countries, 24 students were baptized at our on campus revival, and our Enactus team won a regional championship and ranked among the top 10 percent in the country. Several completed building projects are improving both learning and recreational facilities for our students. And the list goes on...

I want to ensure no alumni will ever again say to a prospective student, “don’t go there, nothing good is happening there”. So, it is with excitement we announce the Alumni Ambassadors program, a joint project between the Office of Alumni Relations and the Office of Admissions. The program willl use you, our alumni to share the good news about WAU. Through this program, we hope to inspire a new generation of students to attend WAU.

If you are interested in getting involved in the Alumni Ambassadors program, please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . This webpage will have more information about the program as it is developed. I encourage you to continue to stay involved with your alumni association and with Washington Adventist University.
