Index to general and academic periodicals. Provides access to information from a wide range of academic areas including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies. This database contains full text for over 2,330 scholarly publications, academic journals and general interest periodicals. Many of those titles feature full-color illustrations and page images using the Adobe Acrobat Reader browser plug-in.  
Access to science reference source. Offers access to the latest edition of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology, Research Updates from the McGraw-Hill Yearbooks, thousands of illustrations, and the latest Science News® headlines, biographies, and more. Includes new and updated entries, biographies of scientists, web links and late-breaking science & technology news.  
Search tables of contents of journals. Search tables of contents for articles from over 12,000 periodicals from 1990 to the present. Subject areas include business, humanities, medicine, popular culture, science, social science, and technology. Results are abstracts only, but a list of libraries that have the periodical is provided.  
Index to religious periodicals. ATLAS Full Text Plus is the full text version of the ATLA Religion Database (ATLA). This database is a collection of major religion and theology journals selected by some of the major religion scholars in the United States. Journals representing all major religious faiths, major denominations, and language groups are included. Information dates as far back as 1949, and coverage continues through the present.  
Index to business periodicals. Indexes and abstracts over 2,100 business journals, 680 of which are peer-reviewed. Includes full text and PDF images for nearly 1,400 of these titles, some back to 1990. Also includes a directory of over 1.4 million company records from Dun & Bradstreet.  
Comprehensive full text nursing & allied health journals. CINAHL® with Full Text is the world's most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for nearly 600 journals indexed in CINAHL. Of those, 301 are not found with full text in any version of Academic Search™, Health Source®, or Nursing & Allied Health Collection™. This authoritative file contains full text for many of the most used journals in the CINAHL index - with no embargo. With full-text coverage dating back to 1981, CINAHL with Full Text is the definitive research tool for all areas of nursing and allied health literature.  
Index to communication and mass media resources. Offers full-text coverage to over 200 titles and contains citation coverage for additional resources. Formed by the merging of Comm Search, formerly produced by the National Communication Association, and Mass Media Articles Index, formerly produced by Pennsylvania State University.

Access to full text reference sources. This online version of the Encyclopedia Britannica consists of a fully searchable and browsable collection of authoritative references, including the latest article database, hundreds of articles not found in the print Britannica, Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary (Tenth Edition), the Britannica Book of the Year, and thousands of links to other World Wide Web sites selected by Britannica editors.  
Access to full text science reference source. Compiled as an electronic database, ELS integrates current theory, practice and understanding of all basic and many applied aspects of the life sciences, with particular emphasis on cell and molecular biology and its relevance to medicine. Core subject areas include: Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Evolution, Genetics & Molecular Biology, Immunology, Microbiology & Virology, Neuroscience, Plant Science and Structural Biology.  
Index to education periodicals and papers. Provides access to the Educational Resources Information Center database which contains abstracts of articles published in over 700 educational journals and thousands of educational documents collected by the U.S. Dept. of Education from 1966 to the present. Records from the Resources in Education (RIE) collection are indicated by "ED" accession numbers and may be found on microfiche at the McKeldin Library on the campus of the University of Maryland, College Park (as well as at several other libraries in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area) or ordered from the ERIC Document Reproduction Service (EDRS) for a fee. Records from the Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE) collection are indicated by "EJ" accession numbers and may be found in the periodicals stacks (Check the Periodical Title List for title availability) or ordered through Interlibrary Loan or through the ingenta document delivery service for a fee. This database is available to the Washington Adventist University community only.

Alternate ERIC search sites are available from ERIC Document Reproduction Service (EDRS), ERIC Clearinghouse on Assessment and Evaluation (ERIC/AE) and AskERIC. On the EDRS site, only the RIE collection can be searched, and most of those documents can be ordered on-line for a fee. Both ERIC/AE and AskERIC now cover journal articles (CIJE) and non-journal papers (RIE) back to 1966.

Full text reference source. Contains over 25,000 records, covering an array of topics. Full text for each record may be easily accessed by double clicking on the topic from the display. The database contains various images, offers brief biographies as well as information in a variety of subject areas. This database is updated annually.  
Database of encyclopedia and specialized reference sources for multi disciplinary research.  
Index to Gale publications. A master index to all 31 literary series published by Gale Research, Inc. It combines and cross-references more than 110,000 author names including pseudonyms and variant names and over 120,000 titles into one source.  
Journal information and links. Genamics JournalSeek is the largest database of freely available journal information available on the internet. The database presently contains more than 8500 titles. Journal information includes the aims and scope, journal abbreviations, web links, and ISSNs. Searching this information allows the rapid identification of potential journals to publish your research in, as well as allow you to find new journals of interest to your field.

Contains over 45,000 articles on the world of art including biographies of artists, patrons and writers on art, surveys on cultures and civilizations and articles on styles, materials and subject matter of art. Index to health-related periodicals and reference material. With Health Source: Consumer Edition you can search for information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Health Source: Consumer Edition features searchable full text for nearly 165 journals including Consumer Reports on Health and Men's Health, as well as abstracts and indexing for over 180 general health, nutrition and professional health care publications.  
Index to health-related periodicals and reference material. Provides over 520 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for over 560 journals. This product offering also includes USP Pharmacopoeia DI: Volume II Advice for the Lay Patient and Stedman's Medical Dictionary - providing users with access to terminology of genetics, oncology, pediatrics, pulmonology, emergency medicine, bacteriology, and laboratory medicine. Document ordering service. ingenta is a freely searchable database of over 11 million citations from more than 20,000 journals, with coverage back to 1988. Articles are available in electronic (pdf or html) format, as well as by fax or Ariel and are payable by major credit card. Users will be responsible for their own charges.

MasterFILE Premier

Provides full text access for magazines, reference books and primary source documents.  This database also provides an image collection containing photos, maps and flags.

Index to general periodicals. Designed specifically for high school libraries, provides full text from over 515 popular general interest and current events publications covering general reference, health, science, and other areas. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for all publications in the collection. Every full text articles is assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). MEDLINE is the U.S. National Library of Medicine's premier bibliographic database that contains over 19 million references to journal articles in life sciences with a concentration on biomedicine.  The subject scope of MEDLINE is biomedicine and health, broadly defined to encompass those areas of the life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering needed by health professionals and others engaged in basic research and clinical care, public health, health policy development, or related educational activities. MEDLINE also covers life sciences vital to biomedical practitioners, researchers, and educators, including aspects of biology, environmental science, marine biology, plant and animal science as well as biophysics and chemistry.  
Tracks both privately and publicly traded international companies. U.S. Company Data provides a fully searchable database of 15,000 U.S. public companies (active and inactive) listed on the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ exchanges. Each company report incorporates up-to-the-minute news items. Mergent Online subscribers will have access to Wall Street consensus earnings estimates on all companies in the database followed by at least one Wall Street analyst. Mergent's company files also provide access to EDGAR® filings dating back to 1993 and updated daily.  
Index to military-related resources. Designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military, this database offers a thorough collection of military titles, trade publications and newsweeklies. It provides cover-to-cover full text for more than 300 periodicals. The database also includes full text for 245 pamphlets and offers indexing and abstracts for more than 350 magazines. Some publications covered in this database include are Air Force Controller, Military Review, Parameters, Defense, Business Week, Combat Edge, Economist, FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin, Foreign Affairs, Military Technology, Naval Forces, and many more. Many full text titles are available in native (searchable) PDF, or scanned-in-color. Full text information in this database dates as far back as 1975.  
Modern Language Association index of journal articles, books and dissertations. An index of journal articles, books and dissertations. Produced by the Modern Language Association, the electronic version of the Bibliography dates back to 1963 and contains over 1.5 million citations from more than 4,400 journals and series and 1,000 book publishers. Coverage is international and subjects include literature, language and linguistics, folklore, literary theory & criticism, dramatic arts, as well as the historical aspects of printing and publishing. Listings on rhetoric and composition and the history, theory and practice of teaching language and literature are also included. In addition, the MLA Directory of Periodicals and the association's proprietary thesaurus used to assign descriptors to each record in the Bibliography are also included. Index to full-text psychology periodicals. Covers general psychology and specialized, basic, applied, clinical and theoretical research in psychology. The database contains more than 25,000 searchable full text articles from 38 journals published by the American Psychological Association and 4 from allied organizations. Included in this database are A&G Information, Africa News Service, Inter Press Service, Resource News International, South American Business, M2 Communications, PR Newswire, Business Newswire, Canadian Corporate News, News Bytes News Network and Phillips Business Information Highlights. Information provided by these sources covers business, political, economic and other diverse, international news events. In order to maintain the most current collection of news, this database contains the most recent 30 days of information from each of these wire sources. Several hundred articles are added to Regional Business News database each day.

Religion Historical Monographs(ATLA)

The ATLA Historical Monographs Collection consists of two series that provide access to more than 29,000 titles—or more than 10 million pages—focused on religion and theology.
