The Emma Iverson Paul Endowment Fund

Tilkens_BReceiving her bachelor’s degree in nursing, Emma Iverson Paul graduated from Washington Missionary College in 1928. She lived in Takoma Park for 46 years, where she devoted her life to the nursing profession, including teaching at Washington Sanitarium and Hospital.

Mrs. Paul is presently retired in Loma Linda, California, where she has given many hours of volunteer service to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Her son, Dr. Richard Paul, a 1956 graduate of WMC, and her sister, Minnie Iverson Wood, a 1928 graduate of WMC, established this endowed scholarship to honor Mrs. Paul’s many years of service to others. The fund benefits worthy nursing students at Washington Adventist University.
