Schedule-a-Visit

The best way to get a feel for life at Washington Adventist University is to come for a visit!

A visit to WAU includes meeting faculty members, getting to know your coaches, talking and eating with other students, and a chance to attend convocation. You can ask questions and find out what students at WAU do everyday.

Gateway Tour:

WAU offers set visitation times several days of the week to meet the needs and interests of students. Our Gateway Tour is made up of an info session with an Admissions Counselor, a short walking tour of campus, and the option of eating lunch with us in the cafeteria. If you choose to attend a Gateway Tour on Wednesday you can attend our weekly Convocation Service with all students and faculty on campus. Gateway Tours are offered Monday and Tuesday at 11am and Wednesday at 10am. If you are interested in attending a Gateway Tour please fill out the request a visit form or call the Admissions Office with the date you plan on visiting.

Individual Appointments:

If you are unable to attend a Gateway Tour, you can make an Individual Appointment to see an Admissions Counselor at other times through out the week. Admissions Counselors are also available for Individual Appointments with students based upon specific needs of the students. If you are unsure if you should attend a Gateway Tour or schedule an Individual Visit, please call the Admissions Office at 301-891-4080. All Individual Appointments should be scheduled in advance.

The Admissions Office is open for appointments during the following times:

Monday: 9-12 and 1-5
Tuesday: 9-12 and 1-5
Wednesday: 9-11 and 1-5
Thursday: 1-5
Friday: 9-12

For out of town guests: WAU will happily assist in overnight accommodations for Accepted students and their family members. Overnight guests will either participate in the Gateway Tour or an Individual Appointment based on the students needs. However, because on campus accommodations are limited these visits should be scheduled at least a week in advance. WAU also offers assistance with travel cost to Accepted, out of town guests. Please call the Admission’s office for full details.

Group Visits: WAU offers specialized tours for groups of five or more. These specialized tours offer a unique group experience and can be scheduled during hours that the Admission’s Office is open for Individual Appointments. These visits must be scheduled two weeks in advance.

Open House: WAU offers several Open Houses through out the year. These dates will be updated as they are scheduled if you are interested in attending an Open House, please indicate so on the request a visit form.
