The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree caters to students passionate about ecology, genetics, microbiology, cellular, developmental, environmental, or molecular biology, and those aiming to build a robust scientific foundation for future endeavors in graduate or professional school and science-related careers.
This program entails more extensive coursework in chemistry, mathematics, and physics compared to the Biology B.A. degree, designed to optimize your future prospects. Exceptional students are encouraged to pursue an honors degree.
The Biology B.S. curriculum encompasses substantial content in inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, and math, equipping you for advanced studies and professional pathways. Many Biology B.S. majors engage in independent research alongside faculty members.

Admission
- Complete the application form.
- Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher from a regionally accredited undergraduate program. Those with GPAs between 2.0 and 2.49 are also eligible.
- Successfully pass the General Education Development (GED) test with a minimum score of 410 on each of the four subject exams, or provide equivalent scores from other GED versions, to be eligible for the scholarship.
- For students who have not graduated from or completed an accredited home-school program as mentioned in step #1, there are certain additional documents that must be submitted along with the complete application packet. These documents include:
- GED test scores, with a minimum score of 410 on each of the four subject exams or equivalent scores on other GED versions.
- Minimum ACT verbal score of 17 or SAT composite score of 800 (verbal and math).
