International Student Admissions Guide
Complete the Online Application: Â Submit your application through the WAU admissions portal.
Submit Required Documents:
- Transcripts: Provide official high school or college transcripts. Non-U.S. transcripts must be evaluated by WES (ICAP Course-by-Course) or ACEI.
- English Proficiency: If English isn’t your first language, submit one of the following:
- TOEFL: Minimum score of 90
- IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5
- Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 115
TOEFL WAU exam code: 5890
- IELTS exam code: Write the name and the address of WAU. If your testing center has since closed, you can complete a form on the IELTS site.
- Submit DuoLingo results via site or email to enroll@wau.edu
- Copy of Passport: Make sure your passport is valid and includes your full legal name.
Financial Documentation: Submit a completed Certificate of Financial Responsibility (provided by WAU) and bank statements proving you can cover tuition and living expenses for one year.
Await Admission Decision:
The WAU Admissions team will review your full application and notify you of your acceptance status.
Receive Your I-20:
Once admitted and your financial documents are approved, WAU will issue your Form I-20, which is required to apply for an F-1 student visa.
Prepare for Arrival:
After your visa is approved:
- Submit your $300 non-refundable commitment fee
- Submit your $2,000 escrow deposit
- Arrange on-campus housing (if needed)
- Send your flight and arrival details to WAU
- Register for International Student Orientation
