Dear New Student:

Congratulations on having been admitted to the Washington Adventist University!  We are so excited to have you as part of our university family and we look forward to welcoming you in August and assisting you in your transition to your new home through our new student orientation program.  All incoming freshman and transfer students are required to attend and participate in new student orientation week.  This will be the first and perhaps only time you will get a tremendous amount of information all at once that will familiarize you with our campus rules, regulations, policies, procedures, customs and traditions.  You cannot miss this!


New Student Orientation is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 19, 2019. Orientation check-in begins at 12:30 pm in the Sligo Church Atrium, and the official program kicks off at 1:00 pm with a welcome from the University administration and members of our distinguished faculty.  A number of exciting, engaging and informative workshops have been planned that will help you make a smooth transition into the campus community. Also, you will have the opportunity to make new friends on the very first day, many with whom you will develop a life-long bond!

The entire orientation program schedule can be found on the university web site. Please check the schedule periodically for any changes or updates that may be made.  We look forward to seeing you on August 19th!
