Australian by birth, Dr. Bingham came to the United States to continue his musical studies and then accepted a position as Director of Choirs at Kingsway College, Ontario, Canada, becoming Chair of the music department a year later. He then accepted the position of Chair and Director of Choirs at Atlantic Union College, followed by Washington Adventist University. He led both these schools into full accreditation with the National Association of Schools of Music. His choirs have received a high level of public acclaim, performing in major national and international concert halls, cathedrals, churches, and educational institutions. He assisted in the design of the new Peters Music Center and was given the Visionary Award for Excellence in the Musical Arts and Humanities in 2013.

Research and Professional Activities:

Although he is primarily an administrator and choir director, he also composes and orchestrates and his compositions have been used as required repertoire for competition and have been presented at national conferences. His latest publication with Hinshaw Music is an extended Christmas Suite for women’s voices and harp: Procession and Carols.
