Professor Scur’s undergraduate and graduate education took him to different continents of the world. He immensely enjoyed forging friendships with people of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds, and his personal and professional life has been greatly enriched by these experiences. Since coming to Washington Adventist University (then Columbia Union College), he has been teaching courses in biblical languages, biblical studies, theology, and biblical spirituality. He also serves as the coordinator of the Ministerial Field Training Program in the Department of Religion.
Current Professional Activity:
Professor Scur focuses his research on the anthropological aspects and theological vision of the Old Testament, and on the principles and practices of biblical spirituality. He enjoys learning about the theory and practice of teaching, and is involved in the university’s academic assessment efforts.
