Dr. Karen Benn Marshall is the Dean of the School of Health Professions, Science and Wellness at Washington Adventist University. Prior to that, she served as Chair and Professor of Biology at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus of Montgomery College, and as Associate Professor and Director of the Allied Health Program at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama. She is a graduate of Oakwood University, Alabama A & M University and Morgan State University. Dr. Marshall has a doctorate in science education from Morgan State University and has served in several administrative and teaching capacities at the post-secondary level for over twenty years.

She has researched, published and lectured extensively in the areas of education, science, and the health professions.
