Dr. Patrick Williams, Professor of Business and Accounting, currently serves as the Associate Provost and Dean for the School of Arts and Social Sciences. He comes to Washington Adventist University from Northern Caribbean University where he was Associate Vice President for Academic Administration.
Prior to serving as the associate vice president for academic administration, he served for 5 years as vice president with responsibility for professional and continuing education, graduate education and research, quality assurance, assessment, information technology and university security. Prior to working at NCU he was assistant professor of business and accounting and assistant dean for the School of Business at Andrews University.
Patrick is married to the beautiful Christine Williams and is the proud father of Patrick II, Roger and Emily.
He considers himself a people person who brings passion, rigor and currency to his classrooms and the academic environment. He subscribes to the admonition found in Micah 6:8 which states: “He has shown thee oh man what is good, and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.”
Research and Professional Activities:
Patrick Williams’ professional areas of interest include the undergraduate business curriculum and how the undergraduate curriculum prepares students for work and civic engagement, also the tension of balancing the need for fiscal viability and commitment to the institution’s mission.
