Biography:
Born in Maine, Professor Grant has focused on a life centered on travel and teaching. He has taught at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels and has worked in the US, the UK, and Indonesia. Along with his regular teaching workload at WAU, Professor Grant directs the first-year composition program and teaches courses for the WAU Honors College.
Current Research or Professional Activities:
Professor Grant is interested in language learning, language acquisition, and differences between male and female language behavior. He is an approved trainer and assessor for Cambridge University’s Certificate for English Language Teaching to Adults. He evaluates teacher training programs throughout North and South America and also works with the Accreditation Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, evaluating ESL programs in the US.
