Takoma Park, Md. (March 17, 2017) The annual Family Fun Festival sponsored by Washington Adventist University (WAU) on its campus in Takoma Park will be held this year on Sunday, April 9, from noon to 5 p.m. The festival is part of the University’s Alumni and Parents Weekend celebration, which will be held this year from April 6-9. The festival will be held rain or shine.
The Family Fun Festival is free and open to the public. The event features live music, food and family entertainment, and it is staged with support from the City of Takoma Park and sponsors such as WGTS 91.9, Washington Adventist Hospital and the local business community. WGTS music artists will be showcased, and there will be health screenings, food from local restaurants and caterers, a petting zoo, fitness camp, bounce house and a gymnastics show by the University’s Acro-Airs team.
The campus is located at 7600 Flower Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland 20912. It is near the intersection of Flower and Carroll Avenues. The campus is accessible by public transportation, and there is plenty of free parking in lots along Flower and Greenwood Avenues. See the campus map for locations.
Washington Adventist University is Montgomery County’s only four-year private college.
