Serve Others.

Service Day

At Washington Adventist University our motto is “Gateway to Service.” We believe in serving others as part of everyday life. In addition, Service Day is a day dedicated to lending a hand in our community. It gives the chance for students to positively impact their community. This takes place once a semester, twice an academic year. There are many projects that we engage in from cleaning up Sligo Creek to helping out at schools in the area.

Office of Ministry

The Office of Ministry seeks to foster a spiritual community that exemplifies a Christ-centered Biblical lifestyle through discipleship, worship, fellowship, leadership, and service in order to make a difference in the local and global community. Here at Washington Adventist University we supply you the opportunity to practice a Christ lead lifestyle. Some of our students have participated in mission trips to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Haiti, Mauritius, and India.  If you are interested in participating in future mission projects please call 301-891-4112 or contact
