ABI/INFORM Global
ABI/INFORM Global  is a comprehensive database for business and financial information.  It contains over 4,000 publications, including full-text journals, trade books, dissertations, conference proceedings, and market reports. The topics covered include business conditions, management techniques, business trends, management practice and theory, corporate strategy and tactics, and the competitive landscape.

 

Academic Search Premier  
Academic Search Premier is a multidisciplinary database that includes magazines and journals about many subjects in the humanities, social sciences, medicine, sciences, and beyond.  More than 4,600 of these publications are available in full-text; and nearly 3,900 of the publications contain articles that are peer-reviewed by experts.

 
AccessScience is an online encyclopedia that covers all the major scientific disciplines. It contains 8,500 scientific articles, 115,000 scientific definitions, and 3,000 biographies of scientific figures. The database includes the content of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology and the McGraw-Hill Yearbook of Science and Technology. It also offers links to primary research materials, videos and exclusive animations, and curriculum maps for teachers.  
 

America: History and Life is a database that indexes literature covering the history and culture of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. It includes over 1,700 journals, and for some titles dates back to the 19th and early 20th centuries. The database also includes citations and links to books and media reviews.

ArticleFirst is a multidisciplinary database that provides the table of contents information for over 16,000 journals. The subjects include the humanities, social sciences, business, medicine, science, and technology. While it does not provide access to the full-text of articles, this database lists which libraries in the world have specific journals in their collection.

 
ATLA Historical Monographs Collection  
 ATLA Historical Monographs Collection is a database that provides full-text access to historical books about religion and theology. Series 1 presents more than 15,000 titles from 13th Century through the 1893 World Parliament of Religions. Series 2 consists of nearly 15,000 titles published from 1894 through 1923 and presents a comprehensive picture of religion in America at the turn of the century.    

 

 
ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials indexes journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays in all fields of religion and theology. It contains more than 620,000 article citations from over 1,746 journals; more than 250,000 essay citations from over 18,000 multi-author works; and more than 570,000 book review citations. Full-text access to over 380,000 electronic articles and book reviews is also provided.  
 
Britannica Academic

Britannica Academic is a comprehensive online encyclopedia for general reference and research. It contains entries on subjects in the humanities, social sciences, and science and technology; and provides access to thousands of related resources like magazine and journal articles, e-books, images, audio and video clips, and primary source documents.

 
 
Business Source Premier is a business research database that provides full text for more than 2,300 journals and contains 1,100 peer-reviewed titles.  It covers all disciplines of business, including accounting, finance, economics, marketing, management, management information systems, and production and operations management. This database extends back to 1886 and has searchable cited references back to 1998.  
 

CINAHL Plus With Full Text 
CINAHL Plus with Full Text is a database that indexes more than 4,900 journals  and provides  full-text access to nearly 800 nursing and allied health journals.  It also covers health care books, nursing dissertations, conference proceedings, standards of practice, audiovisual resources, book chapters and more. The database contains over 4.2 million records and full-text coverage dates back to 1937.

 
Communication & Mass Media Complete  is a research database that provides access to journals in communication, mass media, and other closely-related fields of study.  It thoroughly indexes and abstracts more than 650 journals across the communication discipline; selectively covers nearly 200 more, and includes the full text for over 500 journals.   For many of the major journals, the database also contains searchable cited references.  
 
Created and hosted by CQ Press, the CQ Electronic Library (CQEL) is the definitive reference resource for research in American government, politics, history, public policy, and current affairs.  
 
eBook Collection

eBook Collection is a searchable database that contains thousands of multidisciplinary e-book titles representing a broad range of academic subject matter, including art, business, education, history, law, mathematics, political science,  religion, and science.  For each title, the database provides access to the full-text of the publication.

E-Journal list a guide to the online databases and periodicals available through the Weis Library website. It provides an alphabetical listing of all the electronic journals and magazines that are found in the library’s databases, and includes direct links to the databases in which specific periodical titles and subjects can be located and searched.

 
Ellen G. White Writings is a database that contains the complete published writings of Ellen G. White in several languages.  It includes books, periodical articles, pamphlets, manuscripts, and more. The database also provides access to biographical and reference works on Ellen G. White.  The publications can be browsed, searched, downloaded, and shared.  
 
Encyclopedia of Life Sciences is an online encyclopedia that contains over 5,000 specially commissioned, peer-reviewed and citable articles in the life sciences. The articles are written by leaders in the field and provide comprehensive and authoritative coverage of each subject area.  Approximately 400 articles are added to the encyclopedia each year, and new content is added monthly.  
 
Education Resource Information Center or ERIC is a database that provides access to education literature and resources. It includes information from journals covered by the Current Index of Journals in Education and from non-journal sources covered by the Resources in Education Index. The database contains more than 1.3 million records and links to more than 264,000 full-text documents dating back to 1966.  
 
FirstSearch is a collection databases that index and provide access to resources held by libraries throughout the world.  The databases can be searched individually or collectively to locate articles, books, e-books, dissertations, government documents, conference papers, conference proceeds, and digitized resources.  
 

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia is an online encyclopedia that contains over 25,000 entries on a wide variety of subjects. Each entry provides introductory information about its subject, and many of the entries include cross-references – keywords that are hyperlinked to access other encyclopedia entries related to the one being read.

 
Gale's Literary Index is a guide to the major literature products published by Gale. This database indexes over 130 literary reference books, and provides access to over 165,000 author names and 215,000 literary titles. It is the starting point for finding the biographies about authors and critical essays on their writings found in Gale reference books.  
 
Gale Virtual Reference Library

Gale Virtual Reference Library is a collection of specialized encyclopedias for multi-disciplinary research that can be viewed or searched online. The subjects covered include biography, business, education, history, law, cultural studies, and religion. The encyclopedias also include bibliographies – lists of other publications that can be read to learn more.

 GreenFILE

GreenFILE is a database that provides a collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles about the environment. It covers the environment and related disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and technology. The database includes indexing and abstracts for more than 760,000 records and the full text for over 11,000 records. 

Access to full text of Grove Dictionary of Art. Contains over 45,000 articles on the world of art including biographies of artists, patrons and writers on art, surveys on cultures and civilizations and articles on styles, materials and subject matter of art. Includes many bibliographic citations and links to images of art works.  
 
Health Source: Consumer Edition is a database that provides access to consumer health information through nearly 80 full-text consumer health magazines. The topics covered by the database include the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health.  
 
Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition is a database that includes over 350 full text scholarly journals focusing on nursing and allied health professions. It covers topics like pediatric nursing, critical care, mental health, nursing management, medical law and more. The database indexes and abstracts over 800 periodicals, and nearly 300 of the full-text journals are peer-reviewed.  

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts is a database that indexes over 900 publications related to library science, information science, and information technology. It covers more than 560 core journals, magazines, and newsletters as well as books, research reports and proceedings. The subjects indexed include librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. 

Literary Reference Center

 Literary Reference Center is a full-text database that contains information from major literary reference works, books, and journals. It includes plot summaries and synopses; articles and essays of literary criticisms; author biographies and interviews; literary journals and book reviews; classic and contemporary poems and short stories; and classic texts.

MasterFILE Premier  
MasterFILE Premier is a multidisciplinary database that provides full text for nearly 1,700 periodicals. It covers virtually every subject area of general interest,contains the full text for nearly 500 reference books, and includes over 164,000 primary source documents. It also contains an image collection of over 592,000 photos, maps and flags.

MAS Ultra – School Edition is a database that contains the full text for nearly 500 popular magazines of interest to high school students. Italso includes more than 360 full text reference books, nearly 86,000 biographies, and over 107,000 primary source documents.  There is also an image collection of over 500,000 photos, maps, flags, and PDFs.
 
 
Medline is a database that provides access to authoritative information about medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, the database includes citations and abstracts from over 5,600 current biomedical journals and full-text access to selected publications.  Dating back to 1946, the database includes more than 24 million references to journal articles.  
 
Military & Government Collection is a database designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government.  It provides access to periodicals, academic journals, and other content relevant to those areas of study. The database includes the full text for nearly 300 magazines and journals and indexing and abstracts for more than 400 titles.

 
MLA International Bibliography
MLA International Bibliography is a database that provides detailed bibliographical information for journal articles, books, and dissertations. Produced by the Modern Language Association, the database dates back to the 1920s and contains over 2.3 million citations from more than 4,400 journals and series and 1,000 book publishers.
 
 
Music Index is a database that provides indexing and abstracts of articles about music, musicians, and the music industry. It covers every aspect of both classical and popular fields of music, indexes more than 600 periodicals, and includes news, book reviews, and obituaries. , and obituaries.  

Naxos Music Library  
Naxos Music Library is a database of online classical music. It offers streaming access to nearly 108,000 CDs and over 1.5 million tracks of both standard and rare repertoire. The library includes the complete Naxos and Marco Polo catalogues plus the complete catalogues or selected titles from over 650 record labels.  Over 800 new CDs are added to the library every month. Along with classical music, jazz, world, and pop/rock are also represented.

Naxos Video Library
Naxos Video Library is a database of performing arts videos. It includes nearly 2,500 operas, ballets, documentaries, live concerts, and musical tours of historic places, and features works released by Naxos DVD , Opus Arte, Arthaus, Dacapo, and EuroArts, and others. The database offers a selection of studied works performed by some of the world's premier artists and groups; and it can be searched by composer, production, artist, venue, role or genre.
 

National Newspaper Core
National Newspaper Core is a database of searchable national and local newspapers, including The Baltimore Sun, The Christian Science Monitor, The Lansing State Journal, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post.  For each newspaper, the database provides access to the full-text dating from the 1980s or 1990s to the present.

 

R-2 Digital Library 
R-2 Digital Library is a database of nursing and allied health e-books. It contains the searchable full-text of over 100 e-books on topics like nursing administration, education, practice, theory, and research. The database permits the e-books to be searched by keyword as well as browsed by title, author, publisher, practice area and discipline. 

 

Oxford English Dictionary 
Access to the full text dictionary. Contains the complete text of the 20-volume Second Edition together with its 3-volume Additions Series as well as an increasing number of entries from the forthcoming Third Edition.

 

Oxford Music Online  
Oxford Music Online is a database that provides access to an online collection of dictionaries and encyclopedias about music and musicians. They include The Grove Dictionary of American Music, The Grove Dictionary of Musical Instruments, The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, The Oxford Companion to Music, and the Oxford Dictionary of Music, and The Encyclopedia of Popular Music.

Points of View Reference Center  
Points of View Reference Center is a database of essays and study helps for controversial issues in society, such as abortion, global warming, racial profiling, and women’s rights. For each issue, the database provides an overview of the subject, two essays representing opposing arguments about the issue, and a guide to critically analyzing the topic. 

ProQuest Education Journals is a database that provides access to 900 educational publications, including more than 600 titles in full text.  It covers the literature on primary, secondary, and higher education as well as related topics such as special education, home schooling, and adult education.  The database also includes images from journals articles such as charts, tables, diagrams, and other graphical elements.  
 
ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source is a database that provides access to healthcare information covering nursing, allied health, alternative and complementary medicine, and more. It indexes and abstracts more than 850 titles and contains over 715 titles in full-text. The database also includes nursing reference books, dissertations, and videos. The more than 70 topics represented include cytology, nutrition, oncology, pediatric care, public health, and radiology.  
 
 
PsycARTICLES is a database of full text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology. It contains more than 153,000 articles from nearly 80 journals published by organizations like the American Psychological Association and the Canadian Psychological Association. The database includes journal articles, book reviews, letters to the editor, and errata from psychology publications dating back to 1894.  
 

PsycINFO

PsycINFO is a database that provides abstracts of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations in the field of psychology. It contains over 3 million records and summaries dating as far back as the 1600s. The database coverage of journals  spans from the 1800s to the present and  includes international materials selected from around 2,500 periodicals in dozens of languages.

 
 

Regional Business News 
Regional Business News is a database that provides full-text access to regional business publications from the United States and Canada. It includes 108 publications covering both metropolitan and rural areas in North America, and contains content taken from newspapers, radio and television news transcripts, trade publications, magazines and newswires.  Full-text access is available back to 1990.

 
 

Seventh-day Adventist Obituary Index 
The Seventh-day Adventist Obituary Index is a database that provides citations for obituaries found in Seventh-day Adventist Church sponsored and published periodicals. It includes obituaries that were reported to the periodicals and does not record all deceased church members. The database covers the period 1850 to the present.  

 

Seventh-day Adventist Periodical Index 
Seventh-day Adventist Periodical Index provides citation indexing to over 40 past and present Seventh-day Adventist journals and magazines.  The index covers the years 1973 to the present. The exception is the Review and Herald which is currently undergoing retrospective indexing beginning with 1972 at the rate of roughly one year’s worth of articles a month.

 

 

Social Work Abstracts  
Social Work Abstracts is a database that indexes more than 850 social work and human services journals dating back to 1965. The database provides citations and abstracts dealing with all aspects of the social work field, including theory and practice, areas of service and social issues and problems.

 
 
Teacher Reference Center  
Teacher Reference Center is a database that provides indexing and abstracts for 280 of the most popular teacher and administrator journals and magazines to assist professional educators. The range of topics covered include assessment, best practices, curriculum development, instructional media, literacy standards, school administration, and teacher education. 
   
Primary documents from 1600 to present. This project includes tens of thousands of primary documents, document projects with introductory essays that interpret the documents, a definitive bibliography, related web links, a Dictionary of Social Movements, and an enormous collection of images.  
 
WorldCat is a multidisciplinary database that contains millions of catalog records for libraries throughout the world. It can be used to find books, journals, videos, and other resources in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. While this database will not provide access to the full-text, it does list which libraries have a particular item in their collections.

The University Bookstore is located in the main lobby of Wilkinson Hall. The Bookstore sells textbooks, WAU clothing, gifts and souvenirs, snacks and beverages, stamps, over-the-counter medication, and office and school supplies.

The Bookstore offers photocopying and faxing services as well.
