Washington Adventist University To Present Its Annual Christmas Concert on Friday, December 2

Takoma Park, MD (November 14, 2016) The annual Christmas Concert presented by Washington Adventist University’s Department of Music will take place this year on Friday, December 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Takoma Park. The church is located at 7700 Carroll Avenue, near the intersection with Flower Avenue.

The concert is free and open to the public, and parking is available across Flower Avenue and behind the church along Greenwood Avenue.

Students and faculty from the university’s Department of Music will perform traditional Christmas music, reflecting the spirit of the season. There will be performances by the Pro Musica, the Columbia Collegiate Chorale, and the New England Youth Ensemble of Washington Adventist University.

These students regularly perform on the stages of such prestigious venues as The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C. and Carnegie Hall, New York City. They also perform internationally.

The President’s Reception will be held prior to the concert from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Votaw House, 7633 Carroll Ave., Takoma Park, MD. 20912. Those who wish to attend are asked to RSVP by November 30, 2016 to alumni@wau.edu.
