Washington Adventist University Celebrates Erica Calhoun’s Prestigious Award

TAKOMA PARK, MD – Washington Adventist University’s Athletics Director Jerod Lyons proudly announced recently that Erica Calhoun has been named Sports Information Director (SID) of the Year for the Continental Athletic Conference. This historic achievement marks the first time a SID from Washington Adventist University (WAU) has received this distinguished recognition.

In addition to her role at WAU, Erica Calhoun was also selected as one of the photographers for the 2024 Team USA Olympic Trials, further showcasing her talent and dedication to the field of sports photography. Her extensive portfolio includes collaborations with renowned brands and organizations such as Under Armour, ESPN, and Black Women Photographers (Erica Calhoun Photography).
