A Network+ certification can open doors to careers in network administration, support, or analysis. Roles such as Network Administrator, Network Support Specialist, or Network Analyst become attainable. You’ll learn to install, maintain, and repair corporate networks, investigate and diagnose network issues, and improve network infrastructure. This certification also serves as a solid foundation for a cybersecurity career, as networking is a crucial component of information security.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for network and computer systems administrators is projected to grow 2% from 2022 to 2032, with about 19,800 openings annually. Many of these will arise from the need to replace workers who transfer occupations or retire.

For Security+ certifications, the demand for information security analysts is projected to rise by 31.5%, making it one of the fastest-growing occupations over the next decade. This growth is driven by the increasing frequency of cyberattacks and the rising demand for IT and cybersecurity services.

The program lasts six months.

Classes are conducted synchronously online, enabling real-time interaction with instructors and fellow participants, with remote access available from any location with an internet connection.

The tuition cost is $5,000, which includes vouchers for Network+ and Security+ CompTIA exams, access to CompTIA simulated learning labs, video tutorials, exam prep materials, and more.

While a college degree and IT experience can be beneficial, the program is designed to accommodate participants with varying levels of knowledge and experience. Those with related work experience or degrees in non-cyber fields can still find pathways to a cybersecurity career. Extensive mentoring and tutorial resources are available to support all participants.

You will be prepared to sit for the CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certification exams.

Yes, upon successful completion of the training program, you will receive a “Certificate of Completion” from Washington Adventist University’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies. After passing the CompTIA certification exams, you’ll receive exam certification records to present to existing and prospective employers who provide proof of your CompTIA certifications.

You may receive a full refund of your tuition if the request is made in writing via email at (sgps@wau.edu) one week before the class start date.  Fees for the computer lab, exam voucher, and other resources are not refundable after the class start date, or if the voucher or class codes have been activated. A partial tuition refund of 50% will be given when a written withdrawal is requested within 30 days of the class start date. Refunds are processed in a timely manner, typically within 30 days of receiving the written withdrawal request using the participant’s original payment method.
