The women in Halcyon Hall were rewarded for their eye for aesthetics with gift cards given out for best decorated room.s Lloyd Yutuc led out in the Football Trivia Quiz and threw wrapped gummy bears to those who answered questions correctly.

In addition to being a night to remember for students, faculty and staff participated by serving the students their dinner. Dining Services Head Chef, Gregory Davis prepared his version of Beef Wellington that left everyone’s mouths watering. “I wanted to prepare something that the students hadn’t had on a regular basis.”

The Beef Wellington is a pastry reserved for gala dinner events. The dish prepared for this year’s Christmas Banquet was adapted from the original red meat ingredient and replaced with grilled vegetarian versatile meat. Chef Davis mixed in herbs, thyme, crushed light pepper, spinach, shredded carrots, garlic, and salt. The ingredients were baked into a French puffed pastry and enhanced with white wine Worchester Sauce

The night was capped off with Bookstore Manager, Mr. Lloyd Yutuc’s annual performance of the 12 Days of Christmas. He was joined in the singing by individual students who held props relating to their stanza, with Mr. Yutuc finishing off each stanza:” and a partridge in a peartree…”

For students, faculty, and staff, the Gateway to Christmas Banquet was a memorable event. “It was fun and delightful.” said Freshman Theology major Nancy Konjo.
