Former City Council
Carol Stewart graduated from Union College Academy in 1955 and attended Union College the following year.
She married James Stewart, a captain in the U.S. Army and raised three children to whom she devoted her time. Carol produced the radio show Londis on Line, Speaking of Ethics” for Jim Londis when he was president of the Washington Institute of Contemporary Issues. In 1997, Carol Stewart was elected to the City Council of the City of Takoma Park and was reelected two more times.
She has been on the board of the Silver Spring, Takoma Thunderbolts, a collegiate wooden-bat baseball team since its inception in 1999.
