Brian Butler is an educator and performer in the Washington DC and Baltimore metro areas. An educator, Brian has taught General and Vocal Music for the Prince Georges County Public Schools at the elementary and secondary levels, Instrumental Music at the secondary level, also for PGCPS, private woodwind lessons on Clarinet, Flute, and Saxophone, and spent 10 years as the Music Director for the Blackfriars’ Theater Program of Archbishop Curley High School in Baltimore, MD. As a performer, Brian has played hundreds of musical theater productions at the academic, community, regional, and professional theater levels. A member of DC Local #161-710, the Washington DC Chapter of the American Federation of Musicians – the musician’s union – and the DC-Baltimore chapter of the Theatre Musicians’ Association – a sub-conference of the AFM – Brian serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of his TMA chapter, as well as maintaining roles on the national Legislative, and TMA Conference planning committees.
