Graduation Central: What to do After Commencement Weekend

Graduates prior to August 2024

If you have not received your diploma as of yet it will be mailed to each graduate after verifying they have a zero balance and have completed the exit counseling. If your financial obligations have been met please fill out the attached Diploma Mailing Request Form. We will not mail your diploma without this form. Graduation Candidates from August 2024 to Present ONLY

Diplomas for the graduation candidates will only be issued to those whom the Office of the Registrar verifies have completed their academic requirements for degree completion.  All requirements must have been completed no later than the conferral date (i.e. May 4, 2025 for May 2025 graduates).  You will begin receiving notification of your degree completion beginning the week after Commencement via your WAU email. 

• For those who receive notification they graduated:

You must have a zero balance and have completed the financial aid exit counseling before your diploma can be released.  We partner with Parchment to issue electronic as well as physical diplomas for our graduates.  Details on the specific process to have your diploma mailed to you will be sent to you via your WAU email.

• For those who receive notification they did not complete their degree requirements

If you receive notification that you have not completed your degree requirements you will need to apply for a future degree conferral date (July, December or the following Spring).  Further details will be provided in the notification from the Registrar’s Office.

For May 2026 graduates transcripts verifying degree credentials will be available beginning Monday, May 25, 2026. Please be sure to indicate on your transcript order that you wish for your transcript to be held until your degree is on record.
