Biography:

Dr. Oluwakemi (Kemi) Opanubi has taught at Washington Adventist University since 2019 and has taught undergraduate nursing students at the Catholic University of America since 2016.  She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Andrews University (Babcock University campus, formerly Adventist Seminary of West Africa), a Master of Business Administration from Southwestern Adventist University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing/Business Leadership from Washington Adventist University.  Dr. Opanubi earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from the Catholic University of America. Her research interest includes the quality of life of caregivers, the geriatric population, and community health. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.  Dr. Opanubi demonstrates meaningful and creative teaching strategies to engage nursing students for the purpose of promoting competent, compassionate, caring, and safe nursing practices.
