The Washington Adventist University (WAU) Department of Music will host a special Vespers Concert on Friday, February 12 that is free and open to the public. The concert is part of the university’s four-day Music Festival that began on Wednesday, February 10 and runs through Saturday, February 13.
The Music Festival Band and Symphony Orchestra features performances by select music students, as well as members of the WAU Concert Winds and the New England Youth Ensemble. The students have been rehearsing for the concert since Wednesday.
Festival participants include more than 100 students from seven local private Seventh-day Adventist Academies: Blue Mountain Academy, Fletcher Academy, Highland View Academy, Shenandoah Valley Academy, Spencerville Academy, Spring Valley Academy and Takoma Academy.
The concert will be streamed live at www.sligochurch.org/media , along with an additional music performance on Saturday, February 13 at 11 a.m., which will also be held at Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church during the church service.

Washington Adventist University is Montgomery County’s only four-year private college.
