Biography:
Dr. Patrick Williams Joined the faculty of Washington Adventist University in August 2010 as professor and Chairperson for the Department of Business after working as a professor and administrator at Northern Caribbean University, Andrews University and treasury accountant at McKinsey and Company, the Firm Office, New York, New York.
Prior to serving as the associate vice president for academic administration at NCU, he served for 5 years as vice president with responsibility for professional and continuing education, graduate education and research, quality assurance, assessment, information technology and university security. Prior to working at NCU he worked as assistant professor of business and accounting and assistant dean for the School of Business at Andrews University.
He is married to the beautiful Christine Williams and is the proud father of Patrick II, Roger, Candice and Emily.
He considers himself a people person who enjoys the classroom and the academic environment, music and is an avid runner. He subscribes to the admonition found in Micah 6:8 which states: “He has shown thee oh man what is good, and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.”
Research and Professional Activities:
Dr. Williams’ research interest is in the area of the business curriculum, the undergraduate accounting curriculum, and international business. He is editor of The University Speaks: Confronting issues faced by a Christian tertiary institution in a secular environment (2006).
