Statement by: Weymouth Spence, Ed.D., R.T. President, Washington Adventist University

On behalf of Washington Adventist University, I offer heartfelt condolences to the family of Suzanne (Sue) Miller, who succumbed to her injuries from a motorcycle accident yesterday and went to rest all too soon. The loss of this young and beloved teacher is clearly a devastating tragedy that is difficult to bear, particularly for her family, her friends, and her students at Sligo Adventist School.

I encourage others to join me in prayer for the Miller family and the Potomac Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  May we find ways to offer the Miller family and all who knew Sue comfort, not only now but in the days ahead as we grieve her loss and celebrate her life.
