USA President Awards WAU President

United States President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. recently awarded Washington Adventist University President Dr. Weymouth Spence with a Lifetime Achievement award in recognition of his 5127 hours for volunteer service to the nation.

In the letter received from President Biden he congratulated President Spence for his contribution to the public good and expressed appreciation for his volunteer leadership.

“I am deeply humbled by such a distinctive award. I would like to thank God, my family, and all those who have supported me during my service. God has graced my life with an abundance of opportunities that I know are not of my hand. In the words of Woodrow Wilson “there is no higher religion than human service”. As we continue life’s journey, may we always be reminded of the need to be of service to others.” said Spence.
