Washington Adventist University Presents Annual Christmas Concert on Friday, December 4

christmasconcertTakoma Park, MD (October 21, 2015) The annual Christmas Concert presented by Washington Adventist University’s Department of Music will take place this year on Friday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Takoma Park. The church is located at 7700 Carroll Avenue, near the intersection with Flower Avenue.

The concert is free and open to the public, and parking is available across Flower Avenue and behind the church along Greenwood Avenue.

Students from the university’s Department of Music will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria as well as traditional Christmas music reflecting the spirit of the season. There will be performances by the Pro Musica, the Columbia Collegiate Chorale, and the New England Youth Ensemble of Washington Adventist University.

These students regularly perform on the stages of such prestigious venues as The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C. and Carnegie Hall, New York City. They also perform internationally – most recently during a June tour of Australia that included performances in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
