Washington Adventist University (WAU) continues to keep up-to-date with the current issues facing our nation, state, and county regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. It is always with our students’ success in mind that the university approaches the best actions to take regarding our community’s safety and well-being.
WAU has prepared the campus for our students to return to campus in the Spring 2021 semester. The campus is ready, and we have planned for possible eventualities. Sadly, the state of infections in our county is increasing. As a result, Larry Hogan, Maryland Governor, and Montgomery County health officials are reinstating aggressive COVID-19 restrictions. Therefore, although WAU has been intentionally planning for in-person learning, considering the available data, we are now informing the community that we will continue virtual and hybrid education for designated programs during our Spring 2021 semester.
Our hope and passionate wish is that we can all be together on campus and that this pandemic is eradicated. Until then, we will continue to keep the health, well-being, and trust of our community as our number one priority. We will make our community aware of any changes as we pray together for healing in our county, nation, and world.
Please watch for further updates and information by email, WAU App, and other WAU communications.
