WAU Welcomes 210 Academy Students to its Annual MusicFest

WAU is pleased to welcome 210 Academy students from across the Eastern United States to our da Capo MusicFest from February 8-11.  Academies represented include Lake Nelson Academy, Blue Mountain Academy, Highland View Academy, Spencerville Adventist Academy, Takoma Academy, Atholton Adventist Academy, Mount Pisgah, Shenandoah Valley Academy and Collegedale Academy.

Students will be participating in ensemble rehearsals, lessons, & masterclasses with our esteemed music faculty.  During their time here, they will also be attending a National Symphony Orchestra concert at the Kennedy Center.

The music department will be presenting a Friday evening vespers at 7 pm.  The Music Festival choir will be singing for church at Sligo on Sabbath morning.  And the final concert highlighting all the student participants will take place Sabbath afternoon at 4 pm where over $1Million in music scholarships (over 4 years) will be awarded.
