WGTS 91.9 Has Successful Spring Fundraiser

(WASHINGTON) –WGTS 91.9 listeners stepped up in a big way to support the station during its Spring Fundraiser. Over 2,700 listeners gave over $1.1 million dollars for the station’s operating budget during the just concluded five day event.  The theme of this year’s event was “Prayer Equals Hope.” Hundreds of listeners shared their stories of how God has used the station in their lives. One listener named Robert made a big impact with the audience as he shared his story about how he had been sober for the past 11 days, and that the station was helping him through his days, one song at a time.

“We’re excited to see how listeners are really responding to the vision of the spreading the Gospel to the Washington D.C. area. We saw an increase of over $100,000 in giving from last spring. It’s just further evidence of how God continues to work through our listeners to bless new listeners,” said WGTS 91.9 General Manager Kevin Krueger.

WGTS 91.9 is the only contemporary Christian music station based in the D.C. market. It currently reaches over 600,000 listeners each week with music and messages of encouragement.
