Biography: Born in Brazil to German and Jewish-Italian immigrant families, Dr. Amilcar “AJ” Gröschel, Jr. shares the privileges and responsibilities of a 5th generation of Seventh-day Adventist Christian Missionary Workers, Preachers and Teachers. He’s an ordained Pastor, Professor, Attorney & Administrator. At WAU he teaches in the Areas of Theology, Philosophy, Ethics, Governance & Law. Research and Professional Activities: Dr. Gröschel holds advanced degrees in Systematic Theology, Philosophy & Ethics, as well as in Business, Corporate Governance & Law. He has over 20 years of experience serving and leading for-profit and not for-profit organizations in the religious, educational and legal fields. He’s already served in Brazil, in the United States of America, and also developed activities in some other 30+ countries, in all inhabited continents, in various capacities such as Teacher, Chaplain, Youth and Lead Pastor, Missionary and Evangelist; University Dean, Professor and Researcher; as well as Administrator, Corporate Executive and Brazilian Federal Bar Association, and São Paulo Bar Association Certified Attorney, Senise-Gröschel Legal and Consultancy Partner, also as a Legal Practitioner and Consultant Specialized in Corporate Ethics, Governance and Compliance, Bylaws and Regulations, Higher Education Legislation and Regulation, Civil and International Law, Human Rights, and Religious Freedom, currently acting as a pro bono International/Foreign Legal Consultant. As an Ordained Minister, Dr. Gröschel has served as a Pastor for 20+ years, currently also leading local churches with the Potomac Conference Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists.
