Biology Bachelor of Arts degree

The Biology major offers students a comprehensive understanding of diverse biological disciplines and opportunities for specialized areas of study. Core coursework establishes a fundamental knowledge base in biology and related sciences, which students expand upon through lectures, laboratories, fieldwork, and seminars focusing on specific disciplines. Engagement in faculty research and access to wau’s rich biological resources foster the development of crucial laboratory and field skills. Graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the growing life sciences job market or pursue further education, including graduate programs and professional schools.

Admission

  1. Complete the application form.
  2. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher from a regionally accredited undergraduate program. Those with GPAs between 2.0 and 2.49 are also eligible.
  3. Successfully pass the General Education Development (GED) test with a minimum score of 410 on each of the four subject exams, or provide equivalent scores from other GED versions, to be eligible for the scholarship.
  4. For students who have not graduated from or completed an accredited home-school program as mentioned in step #1, there are certain additional documents that must be submitted along with the complete application packet. These documents include:
    • GED test scores, with a minimum score of 410 on each of the four subject exams or equivalent scores on other GED versions.
    • Minimum ACT verbal score of 17 or SAT composite score of 800 (verbal and math).

  2. If English is not your primary language, provide your TOEFL , IELTS, Duolingo scores.
  3. Obtain letters of recommendation.
  4. Prepare and submit the necessary financial documents.
