Prior to being appointed to serve as Sligo Church’s Senior Pastor, Pastor Barrientos served as Associate Pastor at the Spring Meadows Seventh-day Adventist Church in Florida, with responsibility for evangelism and discipleship. Reputed for his scholarship and practical application of the gospel, Barrientos is a graduate of Takoma Academy and Washington Adventist University. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University and is a Ph.D. student at Aberdeen University in Scotland, reading Theology and Ethics.
Pastor Barrientos’ is married to Anisha and has a daughter, Shanthi Maria.
Pastor Barrientos served in the Potomac Conference prior to accepting a call to Florida. His friends, colleagues, and former teachers all highlight his thoughtful and engaging Biblical preaching and a proven commitment to inclusive ministry.
