William Terrell Cox, Sr. completed his Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Oakwood College (now University) in Huntsville, Alabama. He also received a Master of Divinity (Counseling Psychology concentration), a Master of Arts in Christian Education (Social Work concentration) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Theological Seminary Seminary in in New New Orleans, Orleans, Lousiana, Lousiana, and a Doctor of Ministry from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. 

Dr. William Cox has served in the gospel ministry for the last 30 years, beginning as an intern at the Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana, under the tutelage of Elder Rawdon Brown. Later pastorates included: the Houston/Navasota/Conroe, Texas District; the Little Rock/Hot Springs, Arkansas District; New Orleans, Louisiana; Dallas, Texas; Los Angeles, California; California; Columbus, Columbus, Ohio, Ohio, and and Dayton, Dayton, Ohio. Ohio. 

He is married to the former LaTanya Huffman of Dayton, Ohio, and the two have three adult children.Â
