Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry

The Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry program is tailored for students seeking a solid foundation in chemistry while retaining the flexibility to choose courses in other scientific disciplines. Graduates of the BA in Chemistry program can pursue roles as laboratory technicians in the pharmaceutical industry, research assistants in medical school science departments, such as toxicology or biochemistry, or technicians in biotechnology and forensic companies

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Demonstrate proficiency in the fundamental principles of general chemistry, enabling progression into specialized areas such as inorganic, organic, biochemistry, and physical chemistry.
  2. Apply relevant concepts and quantitative methods across diverse chemistry sub-disciplines, both theoretically and experimentally.
  3. Integrate and employ a comprehensive knowledge base to evaluate existing scientific research, design studies for hypothesis testing, and address unresolved questions in chemical and life sciences, benefiting from expertise in chemistry.

Admission

  1. Complete the application form.
  2. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher from a regionally accredited undergraduate program. Those with GPAs between 2.0 and 2.49 are also eligible.
  3. Successfully pass the General Education Development (GED) test with a minimum score of 410 on each of the four subject exams, or provide equivalent scores from other GED versions, to be eligible for the scholarship.
  4. For students who have not graduated from or completed an accredited home-school program as mentioned in step #1, there are certain additional documents that must be submitted along with the complete application packet. These documents include:
    • GED test scores, with a minimum score of 410 on each of the four subject exams or equivalent scores on other GED versions.
    • Minimum ACT verbal score of 17 or SAT composite score of 800 (verbal and math).

Are you an International Student?

  2. If English is not your primary language, provide your TOEFL , IELTS, Duolingo scores.
  3. Obtain letters of recommendation.
  4. Prepare and submit the necessary financial documents.
