Ali Bryan’s Digital Ministry, A Journey of Faith and Innovation at WAU

TAKOMA PARK –  Washington Adventist University is thrilled to welcome students with great potential. Ali Bryan, a freshman at WAU, is currently pursuing a degree in Theology with Honors Interdisciplinary Studies & Music. As a Branson Fellow he is in charge of the social media presence for the Center for Law and Public Policy.

The Branson Capital Report is a publication of the WAU Center for Law and Public Policy to report on its activities, projects, and advocacy work as carried out by its leadership and the Branson Fellows, Honors students who have been selected on a yearly basis to further the work of the Center.

The story of Ali Bryan, from a simple guy devoted to God to a web star, is inspirational for everyone who is seeking to apply their inside drive. Everything happened in the middle of Covid pandemic when he embraced a media project dedicated to God’s word.

I found myself at a crossroads, with a desire to serve a higher purpose and share the life-changing message of the Gospel with others. Little did I know that this pivotal moment would lead me to establish a thriving media ministry, reaching over 5 million youth and young adults with biblical content” stated Bryan.

After a life dedicated to God, the surrendered heart of the beginning was replaced by the excitement of knowing the answer. He strove to make an impact reaching people in an unconventional modern way: through their own phones. That was the means to spread the Gospel. “With faith, I began on this digital mission in June 2021, starting a YouTube channel. The initial videos attracted minimal views, but I remained faithful, constantly seeking wisdom and knowledge to effectively spread the Gospel through social media. Today the results are a testimony to God’s goodness*. I now have 54 thousand subscribers on YouTube, 57 thousand on TikTok, and have collectively reached over 5 million viewers since starting the media ministry” continued Mr. Bryan.

“It is undeniable that the Lord’s hand has been instrumental in the growth of this media ministry”.

Eventually, the student expressed hope to inspire others through his testimony, highlighting the immense potential of online platforms for sharing personal messages, whether related to law, religious liberty, self-development, encouragement or other topics, he said. He noted that the digital age has created opportunities to reach a global audience, allowing for significant impacts on lives and the fostering of positive change. He then described his journey from embracing God’s calling to creating a successful media ministry as a remarkable experience, illustrating the power of faith, determination and the vast potential of the online world for spreading meaningful messages. FInally, he conveyed his anticipation of using these skills as a Branson Fellow to advocate for religious freedom, civil liberties and greater fairness and equity in society and the world.
