Biography:
Dr. Alaofin is a Professor of Computer Science at Washington Adventist University and also an Adjunct Professor of Information Technology at University of Maryland University College. Born and raised in Nigeria where he received his elementary and secondary education, Dr. Alaofin moved to the United States in 1989 for his university education. In addition to his faculty roles, he was a Systems Engineer with over 15 years of professional experience that spans through Healthcare Information Management Systems, Artificial Intelligence Systems & Cloud Computing for Corporate America & United States Government Agencies: HHS, USDA, & SSA.
Professional Activities:
Dr. Alaofin is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI). He is an author, mentor and entrepreneur. His latest book “Life Savers” provides empirical insights into how technology, particularly the use of diagnostic software, can improve medical outcomes for patients.
