How to Apply (Professional Studies)

Step 1: Complete An Application

Complete a Professional Studies application online ($50 fee is waived).

Step 2: Request Transcripts

Request official academic transcripts to be sent from each academic institution directly to SGPS, as indicated below. If you have completed:

  • 24 or more college semester credits, request transcripts from each college attended;
  • less than 24 college semester credits, request transcripts from high school (or GED scores) and each college attended;
  • only high school or GED, request high school transcript or GED scores.

Step 3: Professional Summary

A written summary of your work experience of at least 100 words in length.

Step 4: Additional Requirements

Applicants to programs listed below must submit additional documentation as indicated:

  • Education—Two (2) Letters of Recommendation
  • Nursing RN-BSN—Copy of State-issued RN License

International students must contact SGPS directly for additional information on admission to Professional Studies Programs.

Once we receive your application you will be assigned an Enrollment Counselor who will assist you through the admissions process. You will be notified of the decision of the Admissions Committee by letter within three weeks of completing your admissions file.

For more than 30 years, WAU has been a leader in providing career building undergraduate degree programs for working professionals. WAU has continued to expand those offerings by adding graduate programs. This provides undergraduate students the opportunity to transition into graduate programs and continue to enhance their skills and competitive marketability.
