For more than 35 years, Washington Adventist University (WAU) has been a leader in providing career-building degree programs for working professionals through its School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS). In a supportive and nurturing environment that meets the needs of adult learners, the SGPS currently offers six accelerated evening undergraduate and professional programs and ten master’s programs (including two fully online – the Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Public Administration programs).

It focuses on management, strategy, and business skills that are vital to your success as a leader. Through nontraditional scheduling, the program endeavors to meet the needs of individuals who have family, job, and community responsibilities and who are seeking a more productive role in society through higher education.

Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology

The School of Graduate and Professional Studies, in conjunction with W.A.U.’s Department of Psychology & Counseling, offers two Master of Arts degree programs. One in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and the other in counseling psychology. The degree prepares students to establish a successful professional practice as a counselor or psychologist within a wide variety of settings, including, but not limited to, schools, community organizations, mental health clinics, and employee assistance programs.

RN-MSN program

The RN-MSN program provides students with a bridge process before moving on to earn a master’s degree. The  RN-MSN program is for registered nurses who have already earned an associate degree in nursing and wish to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing degree.
